JOURNEY TO GREENLAND (Le Voyage au Groenland)
A feature-film by Sébastien Betbeder / a transmedia experience
Along with French director Sébastien Betbeder, production company Envie De Tempête and distributor & producers UFO, I was in charge of three series of videos broadcasted on the official website of the project.
A fictional web-series centered on the main characters of the feature, a video diary of the shooting in Greenland and a documentary series about the village where the film was shot.
The idea was to give the audience an glimpse of what it means to go shoot a feature film in a remote village of Greenland, almost in real-time.
A musical film with Mermonte
After meeting Ghislain Fracapane and his band Mermonte for a Blogothèque session, we started throwing ideas about making a more ambitious film, in which we could mix live music with the road-movie genre while maintaining a documentary approach to filmmaking.
The hybrid form that resulted makes Onamission a quite unique film.
A young man scavenges the remains of his city to try and find images of the past.
This experimental shortfilm tells a post-apocalyptic story set in three different time periods. The challenge was to shoot everything with a photo camera and cellphones, back in 2009 when those were very low quality cameras.
The whole movie was made in 5 days.
MICROFILM was selected for the International Competition at the visionary Pocketfilms Festival, in Paris, 2009.
